M&M Pizzeria

In my never ending quest for a decent Pizza in Phuket, I’ve been to more than a few so called “pizzerias” and found nearly all of them lacking. M&M Pizzeria is one of the authentic Italian restaurants on the island. It’s been going for quite a few years now. It’s original location was along the beach in Rawai in one of the standard little Thai style houses. Despite the inauspicious surroundings, the place was always packed. So much so that I avoided it just because I didn’t want to wait.

Well, they’ve moved into a much nice, newer, and larger space. The husband and wife team still take care of the service and the food and while still busy, the larger facilities along with what I suppose is a much larger oven get the pizza out to you much faster now.

As for the pizza itself, it’s your classic Italian style pizza with all your favorite toppings from prosciutto to salmon on a thin and very tasty pizza crust. One pizza is more than large enough to feed a single person, but ordering a few and sharing them with friends is a great way to get a range of tastes from a great range of pizzas.

If it weren’t so far away from Phuket Town, this would be my pizza joint of choice. As it is, I only get to enjoy their pizzas when I’m in the area. Should you be passing by though, you should definitely stop in!
