Expat Hotel

The Expat Hotel is one of those places that, despite being cheap, still looks welcoming. No, you're not going to mistake it for a 5-star resort, but you'll wake up with everything you brought in, in a clean bed, in a room with a window, and clean sheets.

I'm not a big partyer, but many of my friends are. Because of it convenient location just down the street from Soi Bangla and its reasonable prices, it's a great alternative to risking your life driving home after a big night out. This, I think, is the best use for this place. I don't think you would want to spend a whole vacation there because it really is in the center of everything and there's just no way you could get away--although, I must admit, that, with the gardens and quaint coffee shop, they have done a good job of carving a bit of peace and quiet out of the wilds of Patong.

So if you're looking for a place to crash for a night, I couldn't recommend Expat Hotel more highly.
