Sun Hill

There's a huge range of accommodation in Phuket, form the ridiculously lavish to the ridiculously spartan. Still, it seems that there is more of a selection of lavish and spartan than anything that just has a clean bed.

Sun Hill Patong Hotel is one of those clean bed places for a reasonable price. Sun Hill offers a simple but clean place to stay. It's located on the southern end of Patong, so it's not so incredibly wild as some of the places right in the action, but you're still in Patong and the whole place runs just about all night.

Really, if you're staying in Patong, it's not about the hotel or relaxation. At 850 Baht per night, Sun Hill offers a good deal on a clean and relatively quiet room. The slightly out-of-the-way location keeps my friends from staying here to sleep the night's excesses off, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a budget traveler or anyone else for a short trip--and short's the only length of time I would recommend staying in Patong!
